Luna Vega looks like the type who walks into Anthropologie and immediately blacks out. Wakes up in an oversized hat holding a $48 candle.

The eccentric, unapologetic New Yorker speaks her mind. No tail tucked. No filter.

Luna says Etsy is the easiest way for beginners to make money online.

No showing your face on social media. No fancy website. No figuring out traffic. Etsy already has the shoppers lined up.

She claims she went from zero to $300k on Etsy in one year – and you can too.

Scroll down for my Luna Vega review.

Why Most Courses Suck

Luna’s sold physical, digital, and print-on-demand products on Etsy: planners, t-shirts, ShineOn jewelry. If it’s trending, she’s vending. (I’m not well.)

If there’s one thing she’s learned, it’s this: you have to be original to slay on Etsy.

A lot of people see a winning product and just copy it. Luna will come through the screen and smack the copy-paste out of you.

Nobody wants your knockoff buried on page three with zero reviews and a pity favorite from your cousin.

With print-on-demand, especially, everybody’s slinging the same stuff. Mugs, necklaces, inspirational quote shirts.

Figure out what customers want but aren’t getting from the competition.

Appeal to their reptile brain.

Sometimes it’s as simple as better messaging. Make them laugh, make them feel seen.

But whatever you do, stand out.

Luna’s second tip? Ride the waves.

Hop on Etsy and type in different words to see what’s popular.

Dissect the top performers:

  • What are the products?
  • Can you personalize them?
  • What does the title say?
  • Who’s it for?
  • Who’s actually buying it?
  • And for which occasions?

Now take that intel to Semrush and hunt for hidden gems like “gift for the bride on her wedding day” that you could optimize for.

Next, plug those terms into eRank and check the ranking difficulty on Etsy.

Create a list of “just right” phrases: keywords with decent monthly search volume, strong conversion potential, and low competition.

In theory, anyway.

Why Most Courses Suck

Okay, so you’re riding the hot trends and adding your own twist.

What else?

Luna’s third tip might surprise you: don’t niche down too much at first.

Take “wedding gifts” for example. Great niche… until Christmas rolls around. Y’know?

Luna suggests going broader.

“I sell jewelry.” Or tumblers. Or t-shirts. Whatever sparks your creativity.

By sticking to a product category instead of a narrow niche, you give yourself room to test, pivot, and adjust for seasonality.

It’s all about seeing what sticks and ditching what doesn’t.

And you can always add more products to your store as you go.

Treat Etsy like a playground. Try the monkey bars. Hit the slide. Spin the merry-go-round. Jump off the swings.

Once you find your groove, that’s when you build the brand.

I must say, damn good advice. Print it, frame it, send it to your mom.

Q&A

Q: Luna Vega net worth?

A: Well, she claims she went from $45k a year to $45k a month on Etsy, landing in the top 1% of sellers. That’s around $540k a year in revenue. Assuming a 40% profit margin (generous), that’s roughly $200k in profit. Now subtract taxes, travel, shopping sprees, and fine dining, and there’s not a whole lot left. But when you’re knocking down $997 course sales and affiliate commissions, it doesn’t matter, does it? Luna’s easily a millionaire from that alone.

Q: Does Luna only teach Etsy?

A: Not anymore. MissLunaVega’s link-in-bio also promotes a Threads + AI sales system designed to help digital product sellers generate sales without posting on Instagram. Which is the natural evolution of every guru: master one platform, teach three more.

Q: How do you tell if an Etsy seller is legit?

A: The real ones talk tactics and share war stories. The fakes? They push hype and flex their lifestyle to peddle programs. Luna falls into the first camp. It’s the second group you need to watch out for.

Q: Etsy Selling Formula alternatives?

A: Of course, I live to serve. Here you are:

Q: Out of those, which is your favorite?

A: Oh honey, I can’t be waking up Sunday morning to answer “Is this coffee mug dishwasher safe?” or “Does that t-shirt come in a schmedium for my dainty husband?” I need to be left alone. That’s why I write. Here’s how laid-back it is.
